still having problems with phots but closer this time. If you click on http/ above you'll see picture of rifle I built. It's a rendition of a 54 cal full stock early hawken flintlock. I'll get this photo problem worked out one way or another. BB has been helping as you have all seen. Right in front of the house is lake Erie. If you click the + to enlarge the photo you can see more of the nice maple stock stripe.

nice. do you shoot it?

Hunting Man 07-08-2008 07:00 PM

Yup, hunt PA late season with it. It's pretty accurate out to 75-80 yds and that's as far as I can shoot with open sights.

That is very cool. It's even cooler that you hunt with it. HM you'll get this pic posting down soon. If I can do it you sure can do it. I nearly threw my PC out the window trying to figure that out.

how is it in the rain?

Hunting Man 07-08-2008 08:25 PM

ronn, pretty much either don't prime till shot is needed or don't go out. Rain is a big problem but part of the hunting. There is a product called dry bones to mix with the 4f priming powder but I haven't tried that.

timberghost, takes me about 15 attempts to get this far. Thanks for the encouragement. I can't throw this computer out as I just got it. But???????
