I couldn't agree more with Ronn's post. To me a hunter should always enjoy the hunt regardless of the result. I have never been one to put much emphasis on big racks. Trophies come in a lot of sizes. I like to hunt and bring home the meat if there is a decent rack so much the better but I usually won't pass a decent buck to wait for a better one. Maybe at the end of the season with a full freezer but that's about it.

Those are all shooters in my book and I appreciate you posting the pics it helps us get past the summer doldrums. You can only clean and repack the equipment so many times. :)

I will pass a small buck, especially if I know there is a good one in the area, but those in the pics don't qualify as small bucks. that said, it doesn't mean that I'm any less happy for a guy that shoots a spike. If the shooter is happy then I'm happy.

Thanks fellas. I'm always happy just to be in the woods among the wild. It's "natur-ific" (whatever that means).LOL

nice looking racks to me .I also agree that that all deer are trophies, alot of effort goes into bagging a doe, spike as does a "shooter".they all look the same cut up and frozen anyway

Yea....no reason to be hesitant. Those are nice by anyone's standard. I almost came to Western NY once to hunt. There's a guide service there on the edge of a large lake.
