new knife project.
 

This is how I get started. I got into this too late to get into the blade making but there are so many good blades out there that I will have to be content doing what I do. The woods are purchased on line. Walnut, koa, tamarine, are afew of what I'm using. the center knife handle will get darker and show the star bursts after the tru-oil is applied.

Dumb question for ya, but why do you use two types of wood on the handle? not that it looks bad or wrong or anything, I actually like the idea....
