Preliminary exam says this deer was at least 6.5 years old! That's my oldest deer yet. It was huge bodied, and one that has been on my hit list for 3 years. I haven't seen it since 2010, so I was excited to see him again, even though he lost some height on his tines he is still a great deer. I shot him while he was mounted up on a big mature doe...first time seeing that in the woods too. It was a pretty awesome hunt!
