Finally got some bucks on the trail cam

After a couple of problems with our cam's settings, we finally got some pictures of bucks roaming our Kentucky lease. There were as many as 8 or 10 different bucks, with at least 5 of 8 points or better (six days of pics). None were monsters, but two looked very interesting; a buck with a couple of non-typical stickers that might be an 11 or even 12 point total and a pretty nice 10 point.

The buck with the non-typical "stuff" could likely use another season to mature into something really nice, but I'm not sure I can hold off if he wanders by. The biggest 10 looks to be a pretty nice deer of close to 140. I tried to upload a couple more pics, but they wouldn't take.

We just had our first nice cool weekend and I'm looking forward to more cool weather...hopefully! Early Kentucky M/L is the 18 & 19th and rifle starts on the 8th of November. Bucks are normally on their feet looking and chasing by opening day of rifle around here. Time will tell.

The early M/L season has come and gone and I didn't see an antler during the 2 day season. We have rifle coming up on November 8th and previous years we have always seen bucks on their feet, looking and chasing. We will check the camera one more time this weekend to see if any new bucks have shown up.

I must admit I always enjoy the rifle season and rut activity the most.
