Not Really a Deer!

I know this is a deer hunting forum, but I thought you might like to see something else that I got this year.

It's not a trophy class animal, but I didn't come home empty handed.

Awesome harvest, Congratulations !!!

Yes moose are in the deer family.

"The moose (North America) or Eurasian elk (Europe) (Alces alces)
is the largest extant species in the deer family.
Moose are distinguished by the palmate antlers of the males; other members
of the family have antlers with a dendritic ("twig-like") configuration."

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.

I carried my flintlock, hoping to take one with that but it didn't work out. Lots of wind and rain and the animals were not responding to calls. I ended up using my 7 mm Rem mag T/C Encore to take him at 425 yards.
