Building a boxstand. Little help?

I have always built my own box stands out of treated lumber, but I am looking for an alternative.

Anyone know of anything lightweight that will hold up (and possibly cost less) than treated lumber?

With the rain and the humidity down here, the lumber just doesn't hold up as long as I would like it to.

Thanks in advance.
