Newby needs some help I'm new to muzzleloading and purchased a TC Impact recently. I'm very happy with it except for one thing. Every time I fire it the ramrod comes out about 3 inches. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Bob |
Pretty much normal with muzzys. You can check out if there is a ramrod retention spring and pull it apart a bit to put more pressure on the rod, but other than that, theres not a whole lot you can do. Fix a broad head to the end and you'll have a back up weapon! |
I put a dab of hot glue on the stock were the rod enters it to tighten things up. not a permanent fix but lasts a considerable amount of time especially if you use a range rod in liue of the rod in the rifle. |
Thanks for the input. Frontier, I think I'll pass on the broadhead. Deerless, your idea might work. Bob |
