I'm a newbie here, and hope to be a good member. I live and hunt in the great woods of Wisconsin. I hunt when ever the time allows me to. I have a great son that love the woods as much as I do. I came here with a question about the hammer on a .50 TC lock assembly. I have four of these fine rifles and love them all. I am a little bit at a loss at not seeing this before. Two of the hammers have a v notch on the upper side of them where they make contact with the cap. I do not know why I did not see them before. Is there a special purpose for these notches? Would appreciate any feedback on this. Great hunting to all. It is not the kill, but the experience.
