Default Open sight day with CVA Optima

Not bad! This was my second go around after the sun went behind the mountain and i was able to see my target better. Certainly still need the new glasses to help me out though.

CVA Optima , 295gr HP Powerbelt, 100gr Blackhorn209, CCI 209M primers @ 100 yards.

I did not use my fancy shooting rest either, i used the Caldwell tack driver bag rest, laid in on the ground and i laid down to shoot. I think that Vanguard bipod will be excellent for this kind of shooting when i get her.

The ghost ring rear and globe front sight made things a lot more easier IMO as i could see my entire target. But she looks ready to go as far as i am concerned.

Thumbs up Great Group

Way to go FG! That's a fantastic group, especially with open sights and for not using your best bench set up. Good luck in 2011!!

FG, just trade in those cva's for one of the better Brands like Traditions Performance Firearms or even a Thompson center and
you won't have to worry any longer about your groups staggering all over your targets like they are.

Be nice to see you shoot offhand once in awhile. Bags, rests and bipods make anyone look good!
