I know there are plenty of accsesories for ml but what is the most helpful would you say? Also if sighting in a new gun between shots instead of running a patch could you use a wire brush tip to cut down on patch usage?

traditions 50 cal. pyrodex powder and tc super glide 250 gr, but i just got a 100 gift card for cabelas and would like to spend it on accesories and was wondering whats the best and most helpful things to buy

Highly recommend a range rod.

I'd say start with a range rod. Then get Cabela's brand cleaning products, they come in a kit, I think it's around $40. Personally, I wouldn't use a wire brush. I feel running a DAMP patch followed by a dry one and firing a primer between shots would be more consistent which promotes accuracy. A trick I learned from TC's DVD is to ring out the pre-saturated patches before running them down the bore. It still does the job but doesn't put excess moisture in the barrel or flash hole. Hope this helps!

I do not own a range rod personally but maybe someday. As far as cleaning products 777 cleans up with soap and warm water save your money on solvents. Just follow up with a protectant if your storing the gun or if it is hunting season, a short time near the heat will take care of any moisture for you. I disagree with the brush, use a brass brush and you will have no problem getting the rifling clean and no damage will be done. Brass is softer then your gun barrel...
