Beaten up!

I know i have totally beaten up this topic but i need some serious input! I cant choose between the the TC Impact, TC Omgea z5, CVA Optima. I really like the omega but seems like the cva for the price might be the better deal. I'm totally new to mL and want to make a good choice with my money! Thanks in advance!

i prefer my Optima over the omega i had.

Turbohawk1, the best thing for you to do would be to throw both those silly choices out and get a Traditions Vortek and put an end to your worries because with the Vortek you're not only getting the best rated muzzleloader on the market right now but you'd be getting the most feature packed muzzleloader for your money.

BUT if you're determined to buy one of the lower rated options I would easily choose the TC over the CVA, If you monitor muzzleloader forums you'll always notice how many shooters are having to "tinker" with those cva brands vs. any of the other brands.

just do an internet search of "cva optima issues" and read the problems people are having with the optima, I hope you have a lot of reading time to spare.

Good Luck :coffee: !!!!

This is a no brainer, TC over CVA every time. I don't know about BB's Vortex that he purchased. I know which direction I would go.

Buy an Omega you wont be sorry, easy to maintain and accurate out of the box.

I forgot to say.

I love my Omega better than the CVA Optima, Accura V2, and Traditions Vortek UL that I used to have.

Much better.

I would take any of my TC rifles over CVA products but that's just me :bag: My only CVA rifle is a flint mountain rifle (older model) that is no comparison to my (TC PA flintlock ) I'd look at those Traditions Vortex models before I'd purchase a higher end CVA rifles. CVA's may fit your budget needs right now, but sooner or later you're going to move up to TC quality. :pickle:

i wish turbohawk was close to me, i'd show him how good my CVA's shoot.

That mountain rifle out values the TC by a big margin, especially the flinter version!

FG, you are incorrect on this one! You can pick up used CVA mountain rifles all day long for 250, the TC PA flints go for 350. If you'd like to send me 350.00 I'll send you a nice Flint CVA mountain rifle! You can go back in the ML past posts and even take a look at it. :photo:
