Sighting in new gun
 

Hey I just recently bought a new gun, while sighting in how many shots can u take before it needs to be cleaned? Any thoughts I use 150g pyrodex if that makes a difference

sighting in I would probably send a spit patch thru between shots

I'd swab every shot with that dirty load. You'll probably get better accuracy with less powder.


What sort of hunting do you do?

I shoot moose and deer

so what kind of new gun do you have and what kind of powder you plan on shooting?

It's a traditions muzzleloader and I'm
going to use 150g pyrodex powder with a 250g bullet

well i'd be sure to read the manual and make sure you can use that much powder, loose or pellet powder for the matter.

I had a traditions evolution 50 and it shot great with 90gr pyrodex rs and a 250gr thor. You dont need 150gr mag charge, most times they are inaccurate.

Okay thanks, alot it says 180g is the max charge
