Hey, FG, thanks for the info. I just bought my first ML, an Optima from Walmart. I'm also going after my first deer in the fall. It's on my bucket-list.

Yeah, I thought the rod seemed cheap, like mostly for show or something. Even though it's the first rod I've ever seen, ha ha. I'm definately buying a range rod ASAP.

The only problem is you still would only have a CVA no matter how many you purchase. Buy a TC rifle and be happy!

i owned the omega, mine had blow back. Not all guns from the same company will be the same as yours.

You know the saying., What works for yours, may not work in mine.
