What BB said, he and I poke some fun at each other but it is healthy humor and comes down to the Ford vs Chevy and no one will win the debate period! I don't mind debating a subject if there's something to debate. Bore butter is a good product, I have it in my ML box and use it a couple of ways. My guns are in perfect shape and not harmed in any way. I don't believe TC products are over priced in any way. I know if I want nice walnut its going to cost more than a polymer coated stock. In any gun, price follows quality. The debate has been one sided from the get go: use bore butter on your firearms and not on your bread, and the clear winner is DHC in a land slide!

I apologize Bruce & HM for taking it the wrong way MY BAD
I am in a very competitve business & the one thing I hate is the bashing that goes on between competetors when we all make good products
kind of reminds me of politics too busy bashing the opponent then telling the good they will do
Guess I take it to heart when I shouldn't
Again I am sorry for taking it the wrong way

I have thought for awhile now that Frontier Gander is associated with power belts and whatever that brand muzzleloader he shoots as well. As much as he sings the praises of the brands he likes is kinda of a tell all. I have my favorite brands but thats not all I post about. Every post you have is singing the praises of your ML or your mighty powerbelts. (which on the powerbelts I have shot them at targets and taken deer with them but was not happy at all with their performance.) If your in love with them thats fine but SHEESH we have heard that from you already.

No need to argue back with me or tell me why powerbelts are great. I've stated my piece and am done.
I have to agree with all the above. I have used bore butter for storage every since I have had a MZ. Never had a bit of rust in a barrel, swab it out for hunting and put it back in after the season is over. Powerbelts suck in my opinion. Hornaday 300XTP is the only way to fly.!!!!

Man I take my eye off the site for a couple of hours and look what happens.

I thought it was the end, but I need to correct some misleading information. Looking at the front of the plastic tube of TC Natural Lube 1000 plus "Bore Butter" it says a patch lubricant, a bullet lubricant and all purpose firearm protectant. This is what TC lubes their Maxi bullets and maxi hunter bullets with. So put it on your non-saboted bullets, patches for round balls, and barrel storage. It will not destroy your barrel nor will it if properly used cake up your barrel. That should be the end all to end with???????????????

I always find these threads amusing. Like synthetic motor oil vs non synthetic LOL.
I own both TC & CVA ML's. Have used bore butter for 15 years. If it "caked up" a barrel the user was applying waay too much.

I shoot BH209 in my CVA, use CVA foaming barrel stuff and it cleans very well. Patches come out spotless. Takes longer to clean the breech plug.
In short, used properly, nothing wrong with any of these products.

I never heard of a motor failing because of the brand of oil, only because there was not enough. LOL

unless its penzoil and you run it for a couple years. That oil causes so much caking inside the motor its pathetic.
