piebald deer

Just wondering if any of you have taken a piebald deer? Took my first deer this sat. past and come to find out that is what it was. The biologist gave me some impossible name for it and upon looking up the name found out what it was. Has a really cool looking pelt. However, due to the cost of tanning and my current financial situation the butcher will be keeping the pelt.

well the good news is you got a deer the not so good news is you lost the hide but you cant eat it so no biggy you got meat can you tan it your self it easy

I think if it's somthing you'd like to have tanned, you could always freeze the hide until you can afford to have it done.
just a thought.

yeah man, i wouldn't give that hide away! that butcher is going to sell that for LOTS of cash man. At least get your meat processed for FREE. Get that thing back and freeze it for awhile till you can have it tanned...
