I shot a big Ohio doe many years ago, frontal chest with the tc fire hawk using 50 cal maxi-hunter hollow points, found the bullet lodged in the skin of the rear quarter, still have it. It had expanded to nearly 1". A lot of internal damage on a 200 lb deer but it still went 80 yds or so.

love being able to recover the bullets. Some think its not a good thing because it leaves "only" one hole to bleed but the deer ive shot and not had two holes bled like a son of a gun. You recover that bullet, you can inspect it and see if you're powder charge is right where it needs to be or if you need t o back off a bit.

You know it"s real easy to come out with the best product on the market right now after someone has busted their butt trying and trying over a period of years and finally did succeed in making a good product.
How many TC's did they buy and improve on without a lick of their own sweat of going thru the rigors of R&Ding their own product and now theirs is the best on the market? It should be after all the other guys did the real work and now they have the best product?
That"s just the way I see it, just an old rednecks point of view

Ronn
I think he is saying that TC did the years of work & CVA just improved or copied it

Daddus thats how you stay in business & competitive they all do it
you can't tell me TC doesn't use CVA's or any other competitor's muzzleloader to see what they can improve on their own weapons
you don't actually actually believe that do you?????
