Question Can I use Remington 69 primers in a CVA Kodiak Pro?

A buddy of mine gave me four boxes of Remington #69 primers (400) and assured me that they would work in my muzzleloader in place of 209 primers. Is anyone using 69s and do they compare favorably with the 209. Are they safe? How could I tell if they were inadequate?

I think the #69 Primers are for reloading .410 shotshells.
Personally I wouldn't use them, I don't think they'd ignite hot enough to replace 209 primers
but I don't do any reloading so maybe someone else here can offer more info for you.
Good Luck
