Default Knight Bighorn, HELP!!

Hey everyone, I am new to the sport and I am struggling to find the right powder and bullet. I am currently shooting a Knight Bighorn, FFFG triple seven powder with the T/C 275 grain maxi-hunter. I have also tried the 295 grain lead powerbelt with triple seven and at 100 yards I am all over the place. I have tried everywhere from 80-100 grains of powder and it doesn't seem to help. I just can't get a good group. I have to shoot lead because of the laws in Idaho and no sabots. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Try a round ball I have found that all my new in-lines will shoot a patched round ball better than any thing I don't hunt with them but theres nothing wrong with hunting with them I can get 1in groups at 75 yrds all day with most of my guns an a round ball.

I have heard that the knights don't shoot round balls very well but that could be a myth. Maybe I'll shoot some and just see what happens. At this point it can't hurt.

Well Knight claims that you should be able to shoot a 3 inch group at 100 yards and I'm not even close. I am all over the place. Is a 295 grain bullet with FFFG triple 7 too light? Should I try pyrodex or try a heavier grain bullet with triple 7. I'm not sure what to do but I am getting frustrated. Should I be shooting a #11 cap or is a musket cap just fine?

Powder is new, everything is new so unless the powder has been sitting on the shelf for a long time it should be fine.
