traditions pursuit

Has anyone had any experience with the traditions pursuit 2 xlt. Ive been muzzleloading for a few years now with my tc black diamond and decided its time for a new gun. How would you compare the traditions to say the tc triumph,or cva accura. All three look like nice guns just wanted some help on choosing the right one. thanks for any help

i'm not a cva fan. its hard to beat tc. i shoot a savage smokless muzzle loader and have both a tc renegade and cva poc. comes down to what you like.

TC fan also, have a couple of them. Never owned a Traditions product, but opinion is: ok for the money much like CVA. Good luck on whatever you choose!

that's true HM but the TC will cost you many many many more camels than the Traditions will.
(that's a bartering phrase, I meant no disrespect to the camels)

Another old phrase: sometimes you get what you pay for. I really believe Tc puts out a great product and resale value will always be greater than others for comparable items. Just like Reflex vs Mathews

a guy at the shop tried to bring back a tradtions because he said he couldn't get a group with it. he contacted the factory and they told him to bring in back to the gun shop and trade it in. a used muzzle loader is worth about $75 unless its a tc. he decided to try the factory again only more forcefully. just something i witnessed. i'll stick with the savage.

Well I heard of a Savage 10ML muzzleloader having problems because the breechplug and the vent liner fusing together, savage replaced the breechplug and vent liner and 2 weeks later the same thing happened again, once again savage replaced the breech plug and gave the guy some vent liners. the guy ended up having to replace the vent liners after every 20 shots.
I never heard anymore about that deal. Ronn have you ever had problems with breech plugs or vent liners??

Note: Savage suggests replacement of vent liners after about every 40 shots.

nope, but that explains the never seize they say should be put on the vent liner and I can see where it could be a problem with the savage. just thought what i witnessed was relevant to the thread. i really don't know anyone that shoots a traditions, or savage for that matter. most everyone i know shoots a tc of some sort. but what should one exspect to see being only 45 mins from tc. from looking at the traditions at the shop they look like they are improving quality all the time. i'm thinking about their, traditions, black powder shot gun for turkey season.
