powder life

How long is the shelf life of powder? I have had a box of pellets for a couple of years and was wondering if the performance is less on older powder?

Grins..... I have wondered that myself. I'm going on the 3rd year on a can of FFF blackpowder. I'd be interested to find out if I should get rid of it. Be a good question for onehorse......

We cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results

unless you vacum pack it after each session it will absorb moisture..you should only hunt with fresh stuff.the old stuff you use at the range

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
