sighting in muzzleloader

If I sight in at 50 yards with 100 grain of powder and a 250 grain bullet I am about 3-4 inches low at 100 yards. Does that sound right. Does anyone know how to figure out muzzle velocity with this combonation?

The T/C suggested load chart says 100 grains of pellets and a 250 grain sabot round has 1863 Feet/sec muzzle velocity and 1927 foot pounds of muzzle energy.

100 grains of ffg has 1642 feet/sec and 1497 ft./pounds.

sighting in a muzzle loader

well. im new to muzzle loaders. but i followed the ballistic chart that came with my powerbelts. it stated that 3.5 inches high at 25 yards using a 295 grain hollow point with 100 grain of pyrodex or equivelent was dead on at 150 yards. and by golly. they were almost correct. only off by a half inch. try this. it does work.

I bore sighted mine, then shot it at 50 yds, then zeroed at 100 yds. Used 100 Gr 777 FFFG and 200 Gr TC Shock Wave Sabots. CVA Wolf Magnum, very accurate.
