| I shoot the T/C Omega in Realtree Hardwoods and stainless. It was a little over $500. I shoot two 50 grain pyrodex pellets and powerbelts. I highly recomend it. T/C is a high quality gun maker. You can't go wrong with a T/C. |

| I bought the Omega in grey laminate with 28" stainless barrel for $420 in 2005. It took me about 6 shots to sight in using 2-50 grain pellets of Triple 7 with a 245 grain hollow point power belt. The first time I took it hunting in Southern NH I drilled a 7 point 140# deer @ approx 140 yards @1:40PM. (I guess 1:40 is my lucky #) I have since dropped a Thompson 1.5 x 4 scope on it. I would recommend the Triple7/Powerbelt combo as they're easy to load, clean and accurate. I would also recommend spending the extra money on stainless especially in humidity prone areas. I stand by Thompson products as the factory is within 30 miles from my home and there service is outstanding. Not sure what will happen now with the Smith/Wesson merger. I often will pick my Omega over my Winchester 1300 scoped shotgun when I hunt because of the yardage capability of Omega...Sweet gun! |

Hey Dude!Ive been muzzleloader hunting side-saddle my whole life here in east Texas and ever sense I was a kid I'd jump bedded deer in the locus brush on my old ranch mare and I agree. The power and accuracy of T/C's product line surpasses any other muzzeloader of it's kind.....I own a Encore 209X50 and my buddies are amazed as to how I can hit running Deer up to 100yrds at full galop with #4 rock salt and 4 triple 7"s. This is my way of branding I could tell if a local Deer was killed of my 250 acre ranch by the salt spray in the hide. Yah...This seems crule, but it's a heck-of-laughs watchin ...................See ya Dude! Last edited by Harley : 06-15-2007 at 11:36 AM. |

| Something smells funny. Your profile states you are from the Northeast but your message eludes to hunting in East Texas your whole life! Does this mean you live somewhere in between? Did you really mean like Eastern New York..perhaps Westchester County where it has been bow hunting only for 55 years? |
