In 10 days I'll try to take a deer with a flintlock again.Unlike last October,I won't aim over the shoulder. The round ball doesn't drop that fast.

The weather has turned nice after a 6 inch rainfall.Daytime high of 70,nighttime low around 50.Muzzleloader season opens Saturday.Tomorrow,I'm packing lunch and spending some time at the range with the flintlock.Hope this weather holds and I get lucky enough to get a deer without freezing my butt off.

I have to get to the range too. I installed the front globe and rear peep but haven't sighted it in yet. Flintlocks are just plain fun to hunt with!
