Camo for my bday
So my birthday is coming up and the wife wants to get me some camo. So I'm in no idea of what I should get. I really like the idea of the ghullie suits/ 3d leafy. But I'm open for anything. What do y'all think I should get that would be the best?

I hear asat is really good

What kind of hunting do you do? Ground, tree stand, stalker? In my tree stand the only reason I wear a leafy suit is to keep the skeeters off me.

Illbe doing it all. Deer, predator, turkey, from tree to stalk.

I'd get some lightweight camo pants that lessen the sweating that you get when stalking, walking to your stand, etc. As it gets a bit colder you can extend the life of them by wearing a layer underneath. I have the lightweight ones as well as the heavier ones for when the weather cools.
If you already have that I'd go for the Leafy. Good outline breakup but allows you to move.

The leafy suits would be my last choise for camo, I simply do not want any moving parts when on stand. I want quiet that's it. Leave the leafy suits to the military for snipers and purchase flease (spell?) in the camo pattern that matches up with the area you will be hunting the most. If you go for rain proof understand there is a sacrifice in in the fabric's quiet rating. Purchase quality clothing, don't skimp, it will last you many years if you take proper care of it.

Well what do y'all think of ASAT?

Ive never owned ASAT.. I usually go cheaper on the outer layer of camo. (i just get a nice looking camo pattern thats comfortable) I go more expensive on my bottom layers so I dont freeze to death.

I just had my b-day in August and had the same problem. I have plenty of cold weather stuff... so my wife let me pick out some warm weather bowhunting clothes. I got a nice Under Armour long sleeved HEAT GEAR camo shirt that is as smooth as silk to the touch- VERY VERY breathable for $32 and a pair of Cabela's camo pants, they are mesh, kinda like the mesh shorts you can by for athletic reasons. They were on sale for $30 so I'm happy now. My last pair of pants that I bowhunted in were just jeans that were camo (redhead brand from BP). They were NOT breathable and were hotter than heck.
