I'd be standing at the front door talking to everyone that walks up. This is one of the reasons I proscess my own deer, and I do agree with everyone else. I'd call the police and get a report then consult with a lawyer and see what can be done.

One other thing I forgot to mention is this... you need to also file a claim with the BBB (better business bureau). Here's a link to their site... This may sound like "ALOT" for some people, but when it comes to MY property and MY belongings, and you blatantly steal from me, then I'm going to make it known to everyone who will listen. These guys don't need to be in business if this is how they are going to treat their customers. (reminds me of my taxidermist buddy who tried screwing me over- I got the last laugh... BBB helped me get it too).

I LOVE delbert's idea, I bet any newspaper would love publishing your boys story.

One more reason to file a police report. The rack thief will meet his demise!

I also like delbert's idea. Make sure you bring with you that pic of your son and a picture of the outside of this guy's business. PLUS... if you can find 2-3 more people who have had this same experience, add their names and stories too. You may even want to call your local TV station because they LOVE stories of children getting taken advantage of- I know that sounds bad, but they do. I know my local station would have a hay-day with this and they would do a full-out investigation on this guy and his business. He'd be hurting for money for awhile.

Good News

The guy mysteriously found the horns!!! He is paying to have the horns mounted. I guess a little persistence pays off!!!
