Good luck, hope your weather is better than in NW Ohio right now. Winds in the 30 mph range and snow forecasted.

Our regular season ended today as well, but we do have an extended season for doe/spike that runs for the next two weeks.
How about everyone else? How much season do y'all have left, if any?

I have always wondered why Texas continues to believe spikes are inferior genetically when there is so much proof to the contrary. When I lived there,(late '50's early 60's) even I knew there was nothing wrong with a spike.
Our season is over except for one juvenile weekend. However, our does are legal during the entire season in most areas.
Making them legal post season accomplishes two things. It reduces the current doe population and since many of the does are bred by post season, it reduces the fawn crop.

| | Scribe, when you mentioned "juvenile weekend" were you referring to deer or hunters? I'm 63 and my wife refers to me as a juvenile all the time. She thinks she has a sense of humor!! Go figure! |

I'll be hunting by myself in PA, not too much fun but need to give it one more go. Raven and Gunnar and the ex are going to keep me company at camp though. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
