For some reason, there seems to be an inordinate amount of antlered does killed in IL. I recall seeing one some years ago from there that made P&Y and in 2000, I killed a six point doe. I wish mightlily I had her mounted. Don't know why I didn't. I do have the rack somewhere.
Some years before that, on a wildlife management area-WMA, here in TN, I killed what I thought was a doe. It turned out to have both male and female sex organs in perfect condition. When I noticed this, I immediately called it to the attention of the biologist at the check station and donated her/him to the TWRA for research purposes. I would have loved to have done a necropsy on her/him to see what the internal organs looked like.
