When carbon Comes apart

Anyone ever had or know personally someone who has had, (one of the things that are always in the back of your mind) happen when shooting carbon shafts?
The carbon shaft exploding.

or even a close call where you checked the shaft before shooting it and heard that undeniable crackling sound that told you all was not well with the shaft?

its one of those things you never want to happen to yourself or anyone else, yet sometimes it does with devastating consequences.

Only carbon I've had break was one sticking out of a deer and he feel over and broke it off at the body. Other than that back when I use to shoot aluminum arrows, I had one fold up n come apart out of my bow, scared the crap right out of me for sure !! We were at a 3d shoot and just had started the second half. Needless to say my nerves were shot and I flopped most of the rest of the day. One thing is the way them things break is unbelievable !

thanks for the input.Exactly what kind of responses I hoped to get!!
hope no bow damage occurred as much of the time when these things happen, its equivalent to dry firing the bow.
