Default I hate road hunters!

My hubby and I were setting in our haybale blind this morning. About 7:30 when the deer usually start coming in, some fool came driving up the road and started shooting up a storm. We couldn't see the truck but they were shooting towards us. I hate roadhunters!

I called my dad, who called the guy who owns the land next to us. He lives a mile up the road and he's gonna keep an eye out for them. He's still got cattle back there and doesn't want them to get shot. I wanted to call the game warden but since I didn't see who it was I didn't . Its hard to get them to do anything around here even if you know them or have their tag number

Dad and landowner are fine but the man with the badge is even better.

Gotta know who to turn in though. They're not gonna drive out if I don't have a clue who it is even of I am the landowner for where we were hunting. My boss turned in someone who was shooting directly at him and his daughter in his blind and he had the trucks tag number and the guy didn't get in trouble.

A heads up to your local or area game warden is always appreciated even if you do not have a name or tag number. Very seldom will you have a name and even when you do, it is of no value unless the person(s) is caught. A plate number is of more value but to make a case, the person(s) must actually be caught. There is no law against driving slowly down a road.

In you case, you said shots were fired. That might indicate a carcass. That is evidence that can be used at a later time and it certainly shouold get the LEO keeping an eye out around your property.

One of my closest friends is the asst. chief of law enforcement for our game department. I have learned a great deal from him and other LEO's about what to do and what not to do.
