firewood

been sawing up firewood the last two days. Because of the emerald ash borer all the ash trees in NW Ohio are being cut down. It's a shame! Anyway I purchased a dump truck load of trunks for 125.00. Some of them were 30" dia. They're all sawed up now just need to split and stack. Early guess is around 2.5-3 cords. I have a woods to cut ash out this summer, when its hot and all the ivy plants are out but its free. Neck and shoulder don't really like this much but next winter is coming.

HM Feel bad for ya but come on do you really have to bring up NEXT WINTER
I would really like to get past this one & do some Turkey Deer hunting some fishing paintball ahhh I can feel the warmth already LOL

My thinking is with HM's already. Talked to a guy that we cut off of last year the other day and said he will be seeing us soon. He wants his land cleared as quickly as possible so he loves it when we show up and start felling trees. I dont enjoy cutting when it 20 or 110 so I try to spend the early spring season cutting some wood.

Sorry deputy.. I'm with the other guys... I think these WET winters are here to stay for awhile. HECK, wet winters.... wet YEARS! MO has seen extremely wet years for the past 3. Sounds bad, but I'm ready for a drought.
Any of you fellers own one of those outdoor fireplaces? I heard a rumor that insurance companies don't like for you to have those on your new house.... My wife and I are thinking of building w/in the next 5-10 years and I thought that'd be a good idea... but gotta have insurance on the house that isn't going to cost us an arm and leg and two toes....

Those outside furnaces work well. I dont see why they would affect your insurance seeing how they are located a decent distance away from the house. My woodstove is in my basement and it didnt cause my insurance to go up.

They distribute the heat as well as your regular system you have now. Its piped in to your existing duct work and blown in the same way your system is now. You will have a fan plugged in to a regular 110 outlet that will kick on when you need the heat.
