Default sheds

I was just curious as to how many of you go shed hunting and have you had any luck? I was gonna take my boys out this weekend to see what we could find, I'm not sure if they've started dropping yet but it won't hurt to look right.

the only sheds i find are during spring turkey hunting, there is a pic in my album, or while deer hunting. its not worth the effort to purposely go looking here in nh.

yes they are dropping in md lots of guys finding them. you may want to check out marylandwhitetail.com. I do post there but mainly md, de, wv and va members. not that you should give up this forum. its nice to see what is happening across the country.

I haven't had much luck with it but I have fun trying. Once I found one shed that was a really small 4 point. I also found the skull of a buck last year...It had really nice main beams but it only had brow tines, nothing else which I though was kinda weird.

It doesn't bother me if I find them or not, it's more about being in the woods for me. It is pretty fun though to see what was in the woods that you didn't get to see.

I don't do it myself, but it's a pretty big deal out here. Especially on the winter elk ranges. People are kept out while the elk are strill there, but the day those places open to shed hunters is usually pretty wild. People on horse back, people with dogs trained to find antlers, all going for it! Apparently, it's quite a party.
