Default droptine buck.

I finally got permission to go huntin out at my grandpa's place! I still have no idea how I pulled that one off. I guess after 4yrs of begging he finally decided to let me go. well i got the buck i've always wanted yesterday morning, the droptine buck is what we called him. I've been watching this deer since he was about 3.5...and we aged him at the taxidermist and we came up 6.5, good mature buck. I got him out of our camp house sittin on the couch using the back rest as my rifle rest...this buck was following a doe.....that is by far the best deer stand i think i have ever sat in....1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, and a living room.....awesome deer blind.....you can kinda move around a bit easier in there too, and especially when you have your sister, cousin and uncle hunting with you it helps to have a large 'stand'. lol. the taxidermist also scored the buck at 133 0/8. he had a 17 inch spread. :) this morning my cousin is going after a big 6 point I have picked out for him.

also. i got a coyote friday night.

Grampa finally gave in!!!!!! That's great to hear and even better that you were able to take a deer that you wanted for a long time. He's a heck of a buck and you got to do a little pest/varmint control as well. Man, I have to find me one of those blinds you have.

Nice deer and good pics. I noticed the strategic placement of your rifle to make things look "clean". At some point we need to do a "class" on how to take trophy photos, but that's a whole new thread. Congratulations!

yes i tried to kinda cover it up as best as i could, i don't like a whole lot of blood in my pictures....it doesn't really bother me much but i know if i want to show some one the pictures they might not like the blood every where...i actually forgot to put the tongue back in his mouth but i usually try to clean the animal up at least a little bit, looks kinda disrespectful towards the animal, to me, if there's blood all over the place in the pic
