I was recently told by a kansas Game warden that it was illegal to find and keep deer sheds, and he could fine me for each shed he finds if he were to come to my house, is this true or was the game warden just being mean? I've looked everywhere on the net to see if its true but found nothing. I'm hoping this is false
hmm. ive never heard that one. dont really know why he would want to just blow smoke at ya about it though. people have been shed hunting for many a year.
i dont know .in new york if your on public land you cant take anything from the woods .flowers rocks etc.they think your upsetting the ecosystem.on your own land its a free for all.so maybe he was talking bout pulic land.Dont take my word for it.I would call the dec office and aask them.Best to go straight to the source, after all they would be the one handing out the tickets:smile:
