Default Venison the other way

My daughters were on there way back from dropping one of their boyfriends off to school in Iowa when I got a call from them. I knew something was wrong because I could hear crying in the background. fortunately everyone was ok. the car is a little banged up but driveable. in fact she drove it the 25+ miles home. anyway, no she didnt hit another car or a tree. she managed to put some venison in the freezer before I could. nice young doe. very little damage on deer compaired to the car. severed the femoral artery. only bones broken are both hind legs above the knee.

Too bad the car was damaged, not the most cost effective way to fill the freezer but Congratulations to the Girls!!!
Glad the weren't hurt in the collision, that's what's most important.

thanks for all your concerns. their safty and and welfare is always the first priority. was kind of nerve racking driving out there knowing they were on the side of the road basically next to nowhere.

And of course cell phone batteries running low. hope some lessons were learned about being prepared.

My daughter did a great job controlling the vehicle after initial inpact, keeping it on the road and/or not veering to avoid the deer.

Very true. You never like the wrecks where someone always says...

"Well I was trying to not run over that little kitten on the interstate and so I swerved through 18 lanes of oncoming traffic to try and save the little feller, but I guess what I did was cause a 32,000 car pile up."

The wife hit one last year going to work early right in the middle of town. I went down there and drug it into a patch of woods but had to get to work and couldnt process it. It was broke up pretty bad where others must have run it over.

Glad the girls are OK. I had a group of 5 cross on me Monday night. I tried to split the gap but didn't make it. One of them had a nasty nose bleed from my door but no harm done.

I only swerve for spiders. Almost climbed out of the truck going down the highway last week. I hate spiders.
