is it good to hunt Buck rubs

I just recently found 5 rubs within 10 to 20 feet of each other, is it good to set up a treestand and hunt these rubs?

They are good signs that a buck was active there but thats all. look around the general area and try to locate some scrape activity. bucks as well as does will visit and revisit scrapes, not rubs.

is it a line or a cluster? are they fresh or is it you just found them? if its a cluster there is a chance you are near one of his bedding areas and that would be a staging area has he gets up to move on. if its a line that indicates he travels that route. if its fresh sit on it if its old look for fresh tracks if tracks are there sit on it. scrapes will go dead as the bucks are tending does but will come back as the rut draws to a close and the second rut starts, which by the looks of things should be better than normal.

Try to follow the line to a thicket and set up for the ambush there, staying downwind of course.
