do deer return after being spooked?

Today I was hunting and I spooked either 2 3 or maybe 4 does. The area is in a town and it is pretty isolated and a small area of woods. I walked in and a jumped a larger doe she was alone and I dont think she smelled me or saw me. I walked farther and got to one side of the woods and another one or possibly the same one got spooked and ran. Then on my was back the way I came as I was leaving i spooked two together. these two definatly smelt and saw me. The first didnt smell me because she was up wind from me. Like I said These woods dont have a whole lot of places to run to but if they did leave because I was their will they return when they feel its safe? I wont be able to hunt this area again for a week and a half should they return by then? Their isn't a lot of hunting pressure here only me and one or two more hunters. It is isolated by streets and a town to one side and a pond on another. They could only go two ways and they would be going through houses. So do you think it is likely they will return or should I find a new hunting area? thanks

they were probably back in there as soon as you left the area.

Spooked a buck!

I've been working my tail off trying to get good shots on some big does on my 10 acres. They keep getting just out of range and I cant get them in close. I've also been seeing huge buck tracks bigger then I've ever seen before and about 3 weeks ago started seeing his scrapes in my field. I set up my stand just off one and have been hunting it off and on since. I finally saw this buck tonight and he was coming straight at me from behind my stand...go figure! I cleared most my shooting lanes in front of me and only had one behind me...I know stupid! Anyways he was walking perfectly, directly into that lane I drew back and grunted as he entered the lane. I couldn't believe it he looked at me and never broke stride just kept walking! I wanted to shoot but held back in fear of only wounding him. He stopped and only gave me a gut or butt shot. Then he continued to the other side of my tree. To get a shot on the other side I had to release my draw and in doing so I hit my arrow!!! He bolted 10 feet straight away from me then directly to my right into my wood line. Once he got in he stopped running so I tried calling him back. He turned around started heading back but wouldn't come out of the woods. What do you guys think will he come back? I am so frustrated right now after all the hard work!! Hope I didn't wreck the spot!! Time for some whiskey STRAIGHT!

In both cases, the deer will be back. Remember they are skiddish, more so than any animal in the woods.

I agree with Tator especially if he never saw you & just heard the noise
This maybe me but if it looks like your stand is on his normal travel route you may want to move it 20 or so yards off that trail if the stand is easily moved you will only get busted so many times before he figures you out

I also agree, If you were in the wind and they spooked you may be in or near there travel route. If you spook to many times the doe may leave. You may want to move the stand in the afternoon and come into the area in cross wind and set up. Also if the rut is on you may want to be a little farther in. The buck could be winding these doe. Good luck be safe.
