grunting, bleeting, rattling

ive been reading other post on when to use each one, but what is too much? how frequent should i grunt, how many times for each round of calling, how long do i rattle. i think maybe ive just scared em off with my attempts

There's no set rules for calling and rattling, All you can do is start off slow especially when you Rattle, Rattle a little and wait for 15 - 20 minutes give it another try and wait again, try it 4 or 5 times if it doesn't work put the rattle bag away don't over do it, If you're rattling like 2 Bucks would during peak rut and the Rut is weeks away chances are you probably messed up that area for awhile the same thing goes for calling If you use a call like the Can bleat, use it 3 or 4 times and wait about 30 minutes then give it another try there's no science to either it's all trial and error for us hunters, sometimes they'll work, sometimes they wont.
