buck calls.

Hello all. I am looking at the primos buck wheeze. I have the grunt tube and the bleets. But I have been told during the rut the wheeze is a buck calling mofo. Is there any truth in this?

Ive never used one but have seen them work on TV. Of course they may have been in a zoo when they used it so who knows. From my experiences I find that unless I have a field or opening downwind of me, using a grunt causes deer to circle around and get downwind then blow and run. If I see a deer and its moving away Ill use the grunt because Ive nothing to lose really, or if Im fixin to climb down anyway[never before 10 by the way] then a few grunts I figure wont hurt, otherwise I dont use em while sittin unless its to where nothing can get downwind easily and bust me.

That's some good advise. I have scent blocker camo. And I use scent away. But I'm sure they can still smell something on you. During rut we usually go all day. If we can get away with it. Some times the wife lays the law down. But. Sometimes a chick flick and a good dinner is in order to keep hunting and spotting. Ha ha
