I like it to be in the 30's. I like a frost or light snow but at lest the frost with no wind. I have shot deer in warmer weather but I like the cooler weather because of meat spoiling. keeping meat cool as posable is very important.
hunt in any weather you can stand and whenever you can get out there. the more time in the tree/woods the more you will learn. I've seen awesome movement in high wind. deer live outdoors and a little rain and snow isn't that big a deal to them.

I am with Ronn I hunt when I can and worry about little but the wind direction. The more you are out there and not on the couch the better your chance of seein them.
