New (old) hunter in Texas

Gramps, but new to hunting. This will be my first year at hog and second for deer. Too warm, and too much natural food last year.
I'm in Texas Tech town, disabled, and have decided hunting may be
a way to relax.
Looking forward to asking many questions, and hopefully meeting some great folks here.

Hey hawghunter and welcome to the site. Howdy from WNY. Hunting is a sure thing when trying to relax a little, just out in the wild hanging with the critters is a peaceful getaway. I hope you have lots of luck in the hunting world. There's alot of crafty and great people here to help you out.

Hello from Ohio. One is never too old or too young to get involved in the great outdoors. Happy hunting!

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
