My misunderstanding. His questions did however bring up a good point all should know. With all the hype out there it is hard to filter through it all. You really have to be on your toes. Sorry Joel.

| | Hey I Know Who Makes Those
I met the son of the guy who makes these stands (he is the one in the stand in the picture). I noticed a kid in one of my college classes reading a hunting magazine one day and I struck up a conversation with him. After a bit of talking, he took out his computer and showed me the Treewalker website. The stands are well put together in my opinion. They are light and I thought the teeth and all looked solid. The guy hunts all over the country and he (and friends) uses these stands all the time...in my opinion, if the stands were cheaply made, the father wouldn't let his son use one.
I believe you would have nothing to worry about with this stand (especially if you have a good safety vest) and my favorite thing about this brand, is that it is truly made by hunters for hunters (this means that there is about every possible accessory availabe for these stands). I hate modifying any stands that I buy because I worry if it may compromise something. That or buying a "universal" part that doesn't fit the way it should. Another good part about this stand is that the strap (cable) that goes around the tree can be adjusted on both sides rather than having one side fixed and the other adjustable. This makes it easier to work around limbs and put your seat just right.
Just my thoughts. Hope it helps!

BS METER??? WHAT THE...
i am not bashing any stand or pushing any stand here,im just tryin to find out just how important or not tma certification really is or if its all a bunch of malarky by big money corporations. i was not bashing gorilla stands,i have 3 of their hang-ons and i love em,but the climber they makes looks scary, thats my opinion, like it or not i dont really care.my point was that a stand like that(that to me doesnt look safe at all) can be certified and ones like treewalker and equalizer or not, thats it. And i think ive come to the conclusion that if you've got the money your stand can be certified too! Now that i think this if i ever get to see one of these stands in person to look it over myself i may buy one no matter about tma, i would never buy any stand off the net that i havent seen in person first.
Thanks wmi for the info.
