have you hunted them before? Watch the wind. They will circle WAY AROUND to get the wind in their favor. So have open land down wind of the decoy. Oh and shoot as many as you can. Right now morning may be better than evening because of the coolness of morning but they will be out in the middle of the day here following the rake while it is wind rowing hay.

As roon said the wind is so very important. I would've never thought that coyotes would eat apples and such. Oh, is the furry spinner the squeaking kind. I have one like that and it is cool.

I use to get to shoot a few coyotes when this farmer would see them out eating the tomatoes right off the plant.

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
