I disagree to some extent, When me and some of my hunting buddies get a chance to hunt together we have found it helpful using our phones to text message. One might have a different view of a field, swamp or woods and could let a buddy know to be on gaurd, get gun ready, rattle horns, grab grunt tube/doe bleet. It worked great for me last year. My buddy was sitting in an oak ridge to my west about 200 yards from me and spotted some does making there way down a fenceline to my east, I couldn't see them until they got about 50 yards to my east. I filled a doe tag that night.

That's interesting. Didn't know it was illegal using a cell phone in the woods now at one time. I better check my state regs.

sometimes my new partner will text me ,hes alot younger than me,i actually just started cuz of him but we dont use it to hunt because it's illegal here in NY too.last year he was texting me from ithaca and i was about 200 miles away in a treekind of passes the time.I obviously have my cell with me,for safety reasons and it has a camera for deer pics and i can play poker on it

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky

I cannot find any documentation on the NH fish and game website or the hunting digest that prohibits the use of radios for the purpose of aiding other hunters in there successes. I think years ago this was illegal activity. I will e-mail them to verify this.

I know it was illegal a few years ago but hey things change and no one bothers to tell me. happens all the time. I know its true for the moose still. Heck you can't even vocally say "look over there! there is a moose." unless you are the permittee or the named the sub permittee.
