First turkey

I'm only 10, but I know this turkey is one i'll remember for a long time. So, how it started was we were in the blind for the day and saw nothing. We finally saw some birds a while to the right. While we were paying attention to those, OUT OF NOWHERE came a big ol tom ready for a fight. The dang thing was literally pecking at our decoy sayin "Uh... ya gonna fight me?" So I shot him and he ended up to be 21 pounds. Is that a big turkey? Im not really sure, so if anyone could tell me if that's a good bird or not I would appreciate it

21 pounds is a very nice bird! Congrats! Hope you are hooked on hunting in general. It is something you will grow to love even more as each year passes. Then someday, you'll have a family and you can pass the tradition onto them! Got a pic of that bird? If so, post it- we'd all love to see it.

Congratulations !!
