I haven't been here that long be it does seem quite. It shouldn't be. There are guys here that can get out in the woods and scout. I've still got to much snow to even see rubs. When the snow melts I'll be out there looking for those big boys hang outs. Try to line up 3,4,5 mature bucks for next season. Learn as much as I can before the season opens this fall.
Half gone? I hate it for ya it was 76 here today, after work I got to lay in a chord of fire wood. It has about killed me to I'm headed to the hot tub.
you guys got a 5 day season X 6, right? which one did you get? Oh and i was talking about scouting for deer for next season. finding those secondary trails and figuring out what made it through the deer season last year and the winter. you must still have snow on the ground. those southern states where they say, whats snow?? is where i would think guys would be looking over the woods.
currently the only scouting that I'm doing is for a new boat. Weather is just starting to gives us a break. I'll be out looking for sheds in a couple of days.
I'd settle for half that right now. a few years back i went for a swim in the lake on ice out day. april 14th thats was a about a week early for ice out.
Western end of Lake erie is open, walleye season begins next month.
