12 Point. WHAT!

I have read the thread from 12 pointer and that got me thinking. What exactly is enough? With all and everybody constantly talking about the larger bucks, where does herd management fall. Now, I do believe there are many areas where the Buck to Doe ratio is even or slightly tilted either way. I know because I grew up in one. But through growth they are dwindling. Deer ranches are growing and media is wild. There is a great article on the web called Antler addiction. What is your opinion?

I've been hunting a good long while now and I've learned that people deer hunt for many different reasons; some like being outdoors, some like getting a supply of meat supplied from their hands, some like shooting big deer, some like shooting bigger deer, etc. I figure it's all good as long as an individual follows game laws and hunts in a legal & ethical manner. Hunt for meat, hunt for horns, matters not to me.

You cannot eat the horns, as the saying goes. But, I've also discovered that hanging a beautiful deer roast on the wall, instead of some nice antlers, can become a very stinky alternative after a week or two.

I think I hunt just to get out into the woods somewhere just to see what kind of animals walk below. I have seen alot of weird things.

I hunt to learn, I like the challenge of being at one with the game animal but I will always choose to hunt for meat instead of antlers.

Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.

Yes, I do most enjoy seeing hunters dressed all in blue and cowboy boots going by my site three or four times before I say something and scare the doodle out of then. I just make sure I am behind a tree so I don't get my head blown off. But they probably forgot to load there weapon. Hahahahahaheheheha.
