 i was able to bag a small basketed 8 pointer on opening morning at about 830...... the rest of the hunting party all got a deer too so my freezer is full for a while.

| who got what past up a lot of deer,both gun and bow.dont now why i past them up guess i was enjoying watching them this year.it was great lost my giant of the year still haunts me to this very day.oh well theres allways next year.deer seasons over here in maine.we are rabbiting now. |

| This was my first season hunting and didn't get into it until almost mid Nov. Went on a 1 day hunt saw 2 does and missed 1 that I shot on, went the day after Thanksgiving and shot a 8 point 165 buck for my first deer, went out twice more and didn't see a thing outside of kicking up some does that last day out on the way to the stand. It was a great first year and I'm looking for clubs in my area so that i'll be ready next season. |

| I hunted a pay by the day club at $175 per day for a buck day or $120 for a doe day. With a doe day I shot the 8 point and was fined $175 = $295 for that 1 day. For two days of hunting I ended up with $315 out of pocket. I hope to find a club for somewhere around $1000 give or take a few hundred for a year long membership. |

| wow thats a lot of money i hunt state land for free.when i belonged to a club the dues were 250 a year.

| OHHhhh I didn't know you were on hunting Club land. Well I'm glad you got your deer but sorry it cost you a bundle to get it. Have you tried looking for open land where it's free to hunt? I'm sure there must be some available open land for you to hunt and be able to find the trophy of a lifetime..
