Looks like my first hunting trip is a go with regards to work. This is an archery hunt in the UP of Michigan the first week of Oct. The PA trip is still being worked out. We will be down to three supervisors and they would be working a ton of hours to cover for me, however, after 39 years there I think the young guys can handle it. :crybaby:

BB, I know but fellow workers are a concern especially when I will be gone during a big plant turn-around and be short staffed. Our plant is not over staffed by any measure, lean machine, and right now we are short on supervisors. Also, not of lot of experience with young supervisors. It's gonna be a long fall and winter working a 3 man 24 hr rotating shift at least through Christmas. Vacations are always a problem when your short staffed. Kinda wish I was retired right now. Looks like 3 years to go if health holds up and something on health care benefits can be managed. Our plan at work would cost $2000.00/month to maintain until I would hit 65 and go on medicare or Obama care. That's a lot of cost for two years. There may be something cheaper by then?

HM, I have learned a lot over the past year about companies. Take your vacation and don't look back, don't think about it and the ones there working. I put 25yrs of my life into a company and get hurt and your in the trash can. They don't really care about any of us except what we can do for them.
