I like Petersons texas monthly and texas trophy hunters the best try petersons its really good

Eastmans Hunting Journal would be good for the area he is probably hunting. They have a lot of information on where to hunt on public land and Do it your self hunts. Mostly western states. Here is the link, Welcome to Eastmans.com
